Former independent presidential candidate and information technology monger Ross Perot did again what he does best – taking over corporations and government policies and turning them into more productive enterprises. This time, the Texas-born Perot took the reins and the majority holdings of an Internet-based medical company.
Tellurian Netowrks, Inc., a medical venture that provides medical services online, has been purchased by the Perot Systems Corp., a company founded by Ross Perot in 1988. The management at Tellurian expressed their happiness with the buyout, saying that Perot’s acquisition of their business will greatly increase their capabilities and the number of employees.

About Ross Perot
Aside from his knack for admirable corporate maneuvers, Perot can also be considered a visionary. Back in 1992, Perot already made serious and adverse predictions with regards to possible economic meltdowns if the financial trends back then were left unchecked. He discussed the possible repercussions of the growing debt and outsourcing of the US major corporations and businesses to foreign shores. The current economic status is proving Perot correct.
Though highly viewed by many as one of the elites in the corporate and business world, Perot has served the United States government for four years as a member of the US Navy, which he joined after graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1949.
Perot was also a pivotal figure during several periods of international crisis, like the 1979 Iranian Revolution. During the said incident, two American employees of the Perot-led Electronic Data Systems were imprisoned by Iranian government. Perot organized and sponsored a successful rescue attempt of his two workers. The rescue team was made of members of the US Special Forces led by the late Colonel Arthur Simmons.
Perot’s entry to politics was marked by his participation to keep drugs out of Texas. It was the Texas Governor Bill Clements who asked for his help to contain the matter. Perot created the Texas War on Drugs Committee and passed five laws against the use of drugs.
Though he did not win the 1992 US presidential elections, Perot proved to be the most popular third-party candidate ever in the history of the United States, garnering a total count of 19,741,065 votes, or 18.9%.
